Photo Naming for historic players on multiple teams

Is it possible to have multiple pictures stored in the quickstart/historical/gtaphics/player_pics and have the game pick the correct one? I cannot tell from the manual and cannot find an answer when searching...

For example, I'd like to use a PNG file for Wayne Gretzky for EDM, another for LAK, and maybe one for NYR, and STL. Is this possible? I don't want to use facegen but rather actual photos?

not for the same game save, unfortunately. the player pics go by the format <name>_<day>_<month>_<year>.png


if your file has a different name, in any respect, the game won't use it


what I do is to maintain a folder, outside of the FHM save, with player photos (the game has a tendency of replacing updating photos with that from the default photos), and overwrite the player photo in the <saved game>/graphics/player_pics.png with my own file

You can also have home and away variants for each player.

e.g. Joe_Bloggs_31_12_1970.png and Joe_Bloggs_31_12_1970_Away.png
The default is the home jersey.

But still need edited manually if you change photos.
