I'm playing a historical league that started in 1969 with the real players but re-drafted onto new teams. My poor Malibu Breakers have been bobbing along at .500 until 1978 when they went right into the crapper and came in last in the majors. Suddenly in 1979 my draft choices are finally bearing fruit. My decision to put a few youngsters back into the minors after a brief trip to the bigs paid off. Robin Yount, Dave Winfield, Davey Lopes are kicking some serious butt, serious enough that I clinched the AL title. It only took ten years of horror to get there!
