Step into 1939 — a historic baseball league with real players set in an alternate history where baseball was never segregated and never interrupted by war. The Golden Era Baseball League (GEBL) is a realistic, competitive online OOTP 26 league that rewrites history from the ground up.

The Phoenix Protocol — The Inaugural Draft Reborn
A one-of-a-kind franchise draft that tests your nerve and vision (think fantasy draft combined with Rule 5 Draft):
- Each GM secretly chooses how many players to protect (0–25) from their inherited and historic 1939 roster.
- The fewer players you protect, the higher your chances are for a top draft spot in a straight draft. Teams with ties on the number of players they protect enter a tie-breaking lottery to determine their seeding. Also, the more players you leave unprotected, the more picks you’ll have — but the more rebuilding you’ll face.
- The reverse is also true. Protect all your players; you don’t get picks. Stay the course with the juggernaut that history has already built for you.
- All unprotected players enter a massive, integrated draft pool featuring MLB and Negro League stars.
