Utah Mammoth
Has anyone taken the Mammoth and figured out how to deal with the dire financial situation? I've played 5 years and with a poor arena that holds 11,000, I can't even afford to match my salary cap, invest in a new stadium, and my off-season months require all negative investments which kill scouting, arena operations, and morale.

I play the Mammoth as well and I just edit the team's arena capacity to 20,000 in the team edit area. I think they forgot to adjust the arena capacity

Thx. I can edit the name of the arena and location, but nothing else. Do you have to do that on 1 July of a new season?

You have to be in comission mode

I feel like the Montreal Expos - Low budget, can't invest in a stadium, can't market for more fans or fix poor arena conditions.

What I did was a fire sale for everyone and raised the ticket price considerably. If I use commissioner mode...I only do "Can't be fired" and give myself 6 years on my contract. I also wouldn't take it over until my ratings were pretty good and I had a really good reputation. Kind of like a second act to the career. but really, all you need is like two really good seasons were you have a decent run in the playoffs and then you'll have money to do things. |

Thx for the info. I've been pretty successful so far in 5 years - made the playoffs 3 times and lost in the Cup Finals last year in 6. I didn't tinker with the ticket prices but will try that. Even with some playoff success, I never had enough money to do anything, not even enough to fund to the salary cap, and certainly not enough to raise development or invest in a new arena.
