Anyway to import historical players into college feeder?

Been a LONG time since I played (raising kids...) but back into OOTP after a 4 year absence.

What I was working on before taking a long break was a fictional historical league. I created my own timeline for baseball ranging from 1900-present day with some different team names, expansion and such. My setup was MLB (eventually being 40 teams including some international), with only 3 minor leagues and a college feeder league.

Originally (trying to remember why) I made it a fictional player league and manually imported "stars" every year from a select list using spritz 14 database. So I would go through my list every offseason and manually import a few players like Ruth or Mantle. Also had negro and japanese league players imported. This worked well but it was a mostly fictional player universe. I imported them as freshman in college...

Is there a way to make the game manually import historical players into a college league? Even if that was a draft in that feeder league, or can drafts only be for the ML level? Also thinking the ages wouldn't be right (all 17 or 18).

This is probably why I did it the way i did in ootp21 (last time i played)

Thought it would be cool to have all historical players in my fictional universe where the worlds greatest played in the same league from the start...
And the thought process was, what if baseball had a system like football and basketball where almost all players went to college and then were drafted. Also creating a cool college timeline

Even had made hundreds of logos for the league as 75% of the team names were different than real life (tried making all team names that made sense, unlike the Detroit Tigers, no Tigers in Detroit...)
