Longtime friendly, casual league looking for a few owners

• Uses financial,
• Modified medical (injuries removed for players that are behind their real life playing time)
• Four minor league levels,
• Talent change randomness very, very minimal.
• All players are guaranteed to reach their potentials eventually
• NO scouting.
• In the late 2010s we moved to a hybrid historical league where we roll from current real players to real players from 120 years previously. So, the league is a mix of current players, including many from Japan, and players from 1905-1910, including Negro Leaguers.
• All ratings are set to an environment of approximately .265/.330/.400.

The Antiquity League, is a twenty-four team league that has been together since 1927 (Twenty-three years and counting!). We have an extremely solid core of mostly older owners drawn from a variety of professions and acquaintances. Our league forum is on Facebook, Slack (soon to add Discord) and I also send out hand-made group emails after each sim.

All of our available teams have had caretakers, so you won’t be taking over a team that is in shambles. We are just ending the 2026 season so you would have plenty of opportunity to improve your squad.

The available franchises are:

Los Angeles Bums
* DH league.
*After a VERY long period of being rather terrible (23 years without a winning record), the Bums broke through last season, finishing 87-75 and making the playoffs. They have a ton of talent in their prime years and need only a strong guiding hand.
* Best players are: Big Ed Walsh (25), Elly De La Cruz (24), Fernando Tatis Jr. (27), Harry Lumley (26), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (28), Pete Hill (24), Shinya Matsuyama (26) Bryan Reynolds (31),
* Minor league system: 19th (3B Larry Gardner, OF Zyhir Hope, OF Clyde Engle, SP Zach Thornton, C Eduardo Tait). Drafting ~16th in June 2027.

Chicago Orphans
* DH league.
*Struggled with ownership problem but still won 94 games in 2023 and 97 games in 2024. Still has plenty of talent to compete; a solid farm system; and a good draft pick on the way.
* Best players are: C Drake Baldwin (25), SP Mordecai Brown (30), OF Roy Thomas (32), RP Kaima Taira (26), SS Corey Seager (32), RP Griffin Jax (31), RP Lucas Erceg, C Alejandro Kirk, SP Kumar ROcker, SP Framber Valdez, SP Sonny Gray, 1B Pete Alonso, RP Taylor Rogers, OF Jordan Walker, SP Tanner Houck, SP Carlos Royer.
* Minor league system: 9th (C Jack “Chief” Myers, 3B Demetrio Crisantes, SP Connelly Early, CF Walker Jenkins, SP Jerson Alejandro, SP Jimmy Dygert, 2B Adael Amador, SP Dick Rudolph, CF Burt Shotton). Drafting ~3rd in June 2027.

Denver Rams
* Non-DH league.
*The definition of a .500 team. Won 90 three years ago, but haven't really been competitive since 2018, despite having a terrific outfield and an excellent starting staff.
* Best players are: SP Bill Gatewood (25), SP Logan Gilbert (29), Luke Little, (26), SP Jesse Tannehill (32), CL Emmanuel Chase, (28), P Hooks Wiltse (27), 2B Jimmy Williams (29), 3B Jose Ramirez (34), SS Marcus Semien (36), OF Joe Loperfido (27), UT Francisco Moran (26), Frank Schulte (24), OF Jung-hoo Lee (28).
* Minor league system: 12th, SP Thomas White, SP Chase Burns, SS Franklin Arias, OF Justin Crawford
