What "general strategic tendencies" do you play with? What best maximizes the AI's competitiveness?
I play out all my games, and I realize the big thing determining how good the AI manages is the general strategic tendencies section, but what is the best sabermetrically sound way of improving? Like I don't wanna be out here gamifying pitching changes and matchups while the AI lets their starter die out there, but I also don't want it to make overly rash bad decisions.
I'm doing a fictional league where I started as the Seattle Mariners in 1977 under a fictional universe where Canada became the dominant North American superpower following World War 2. 24 total teams. I want the strategy to be somewhat similar to 1977, but at least with the sabermetrically sound stuff ironed out (cuz the knowleddge is out of the bag now, you can't play with 1977 settings without gamifying the AI).
