Unable to activate game

My license key no longer works. I just bought a new MacBook Pro so I released the license on my MacBook Air that I'm selling and tried to activate it on the new laptop but it fails. Says "Game cannot be activated".

Two things to try.

I tried those things and didn't have any luck. Using the license activation site, it shows that all licenses have been activated already. And I double-checked that it was copying over the key correctly.

I pulled OOTP back up on my old laptop just to confirm that it was showing that it wasn't activated, which it wasn't. Then, I copied the license key and pasted it in and it worked fine. So, I released the license again and went a step further by uninstalling OOTP off of it. Then, I tried to paste the license into OOTP on the new laptop and it still won't activate. Not sure what else to try on my side.

I tried one more thing which was to reinstall it on the old laptop and the license worked fine on it. I've never run into this before where it seems like the license is tied to the old laptop, even though I've released the license.

On that self help site, did it confirm release of the license? Also, did you try manually typing the code vs. cut/paste? Those are the only other things I can think of.

Using that activation self help site I was able to figure out that it wasn't releasing the old license. I had to manually do it on that site with the computer identifier. Once I did that, it worked!
