What was the point of all that Babe Ruth excitement if he can’t hit?
The Babe is an over 300 lifetime hitter but his contact is so low he hits under .200 …. Home Run Baker shouldn’t have better stats than Babe Ruth !!!
For that matter Judge and Othani … last years MvPs … never really hit. Didn’t last year either. It doesn’t seem to matter what level I’m at. They are all bad. Hope some better Ruth cards are on the way |

Yeah, the Contact/BABIP is a problem on that card. In addition to all his home runs, the Babe had almost 1500 singles during his career, which is why he's 13th all-time in career batting average. Even in the 1928 season, which is one of his worst in terms of BABIP, Babe had 82 singles, 29 doubles, and 8 triples to go along with his 54 home runs. This card rates more like Roger Maris 1961 than Babe Ruth 1928.

these power guys are amazing in tournaments. the way league normalization worsk makes it very difficult for power guys to do well, since they can only hit 25-30 homers at most in the highest leagues. in tournaments, where the normalization doesn't exist as much, they can blast the ball as much as they want. it's just figuring out how the game actually works.

I saw a dude with a Shohei Ohtani with 50 HR last week but it might have been a lower league.

It feels like this year has been a bit better with traditional HOF players being the top notch, but there are a few that have fallen through the cracks like Ruth. The devs must've given Ruth's talents to live Aaron Judge, who is still a playable card even into diamond leagues, sadly.

I see they're adding Mark McGuire with another bad avoid K.
No thanks. |

again: these cards are nuts in tournaments, even if they're less good in league.

My tourney yield has been steadily rising with this in mind. Have never won one but 2nd 3rd place, or 16 of 64 regularly opening many packs.

It’s great that they are good in tournaments but … for the amount of PP they go for they should be good in leagues too!
