How Long Can A DTD Injury Last?

I had a player get injured with a quadricep strain initially DTD for 1-2 weeks. I kept him out of the lineup for a few days but the injury changed to DTD uncertain return. OK, fine. Back in the lineup. Get better or get injured enough for the injured list so I can get a replacement.

He later got another DTD injury which I kept him on PH only because in had a moderate running impairment. Finally that cleared. The quadricep injury? Incurred May 31. Cleared August 21. Should have been called a month to month.

Meanwhile my SPs have kept me close in games. Every time I get a lead they give it back. My RPs have learned how to have good ERAs. They become effective after they let all the inherited runners score. My batters act like a home security system. When at bat they won't let other players cross home plate. LOL.

I have had some day to day injuries last months just like you. As long as it doesn't impact their hitting, I usually let them play. If it's moderate for anything I send them on the DL

I've watched these in the player editor before. There's a number of days remaining. Generally if they play, it doesn't go down.

So if someone has a DTD injury that says 12 days, it will clear up after they have 12 days off. That was my observation with OOTP 25, anyway.

Very, uh… timely question, what with Friday having been the “longest” day of the year.

Apologies…
