"Trading deadline has not been completed yet" HUH?

Trying to advance to August 1st and getting this popup.

Not using any of that enhanced deadline stuff or any of that.

If I choose to advance, does this mean other teams won't make any trades on the final day of waiver-free trading?

What gives?

I have seen that pop-up, but only where the enhanced deadline stuff was in play. Maybe it got turned on by accident? Clearly the game wants you to go through the multi-step offer-and-responses process, before the deadline. And yes, if you jump to the next day, you risk having no deadline deals take place. So probably you have to go through what it wants you to do for the team you control. You can just say no to all deals.

I have no deals pending.

Double-checked and the enhanced stuff is not turned on.

EDIT: figured this out.

You have to turn ON all the trade deadline hoopla on the last day, regardless of if you want it or not. THEN the deals for other teams will continue after you turn down the ridiculous offers you get from the AI. You can then complete the day and move on.

Looks like this "bug" snuck though all the patches. :P

That's disappointing. I think it's a useless feature. Putting a time limit on my evaluation of a trade offer -- irl, I'd have hours, unless the offer came in unreasonably late.

It feels like a failed attempt to mimic the transfer-deadline day experience in Football Manager, which chops up the day into smaller segments without putting an egg-timer on each segment.

Like most features, I don't mind them if you can switch them off if you like. Seems this is not one of those features.

I've never once turned that feature on and never had this happen. You can definitely turn it off.

I don't remember anyone else ever posting about this being an issue neither (though I could have missed one.) Unless literally 99.9% use it... which I doubt.
