World Classic Baseball Tournament

I am curious is there a way if anyone tried to get certain countries to always be in the tournament?? i once had a team that was in it for 50 years (set it up for every year instead of 4) and for the last 10 seasons that nation no longer represented?

Thought it was based on quality of players, so it the game isn't generating decent players for that country......it will fall off

You can definitely set up tournaments that work that way, but I'm not sure that you can change the default WBC to do that once it's been added to the game.

FWIW in the new game I'm building I set the Olympics to run every 4 years starting in 2027 with auto-selection by quality for 16 teams, and a World Baseball Cup every 4 years starting in 2025 with 6 fixed pools of 8 teams each.

EDIT: I imported a tournament into v26 today and see the settings on "tournament & teams", select "team selection=fixed" and "roster source=nation [or region if you want some regions mixed in]".
