Pitch Improvement Development Labs

When running the pitch improvement or improve arsenal labs, the email states that the player improves their potential and current for the pitch, but only the current rating changes.

I have some screenshots that show this, but it's a new account and it won't let me attach things.

I noticed this too- in this thread:

https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=361939

Seems to apply to the "improve pitch training" lab as well.

The potential that you see is not the potential that is improved. Pitches are different and they have a hidden potential as well and that is the potential that is improved. So, the potential is being improved, just not the one you can see.

Hmm... that's a weird way to design things!

Could you elaborate on this a bit? What is the difference between the listed pitch potential and the "hidden" potential? What's the rationale for having a potential that is hidden and not possible to view in the editor for individual pitches, but not for other things?

Regardless of the design choice there, as the OP stated, it leads to confusion, as the stated result of the dev lab is not reflected in the visible ratings.

I actually can't because it is something they do not go into detail on except that it is an internal, hidden potential that is adjusted over the potential that is shown. That's the most info that has been said about the details.
