Development Question

So i'm messing with the development in some of the players profiles. I was wondering if i'm thinking about this right and figure I would ask here.

For Aaron Judge when I went to his development tab he naturally had points in power that made it go beyond the mark that represents the middle of the bar.

So since he was already at 100 power I decided to allocate those points to avoid k's and BABIP. So now his power is at the middle mark. And now BABIP and avoid k's are higher then the middle mark.

So if i'm looking at this right then his power should stay as is now and BABIP and avoid K's should develop better. While also his running should decrease?

Is this how everyone else looks at it?

That's how I see it, but I assume that if the bar falls below the middle, there could be some "minimal losses" to that attribute.

You've also got to weigh in the fact that he is 32. So, this is likely less about Development and more about fighting Aging for him.

So, I would say middle of the bar is not necessarily "status quo".

I might be wrong. I thought each slider is how much time/effort goes into honing each skill. This is why when you move some up, you also have to move some down. So moving power down at all could affect his homerun totals. By how much someone smarter than I would have to answer.

I didn't play '25 so this will all be new to me.

I find this to be fascinating. If I decide to not work on Aaron Judge's power, should it crush his power? Perhaps it will impact it slightly, but Aaron Judge isn't going to lose his pop if he works on something else in spring training.
Yes, age can and should play a role in any decline.

It won't crush it, but it may well recede if you told him not to work on something else, but to explicitly *stop* working on his power.
