Player Disappeared

When creating my team, I got (99) Alejandro Pena. I put him up for auction on the card shop. I looked for him 20 to 30 minutes later, and he seems to have been completely removed from the card shop. I searched for pena and alej but did not see him. Is he a player that should not have been released and was removed, or just a glitch? Maybe this has something to do with the create team error I'm getting on my secondary teams?

Additional checking, I had downloaded a player list when my team was first created (list from the card shop export). Alejandro Pena was on that list but is not on the list I downloaded a few minutes ago. Looks like some kind of player database shuffling.

Note - The number of players is the same on the two downloads, but the players (at least one, I'm checking for more) have been changed.

Six players different from first list to current list, my player was one of them...

Note - Looks like (99) Alejandro Pena was replaced by (63) Carlos Pena, which would be fine but it feels like I lost my best player. But I don't know if I got it in one of the initial standard packs or one of the diamond packs. I thought, but could be wrong, that it was from a diamond pack. But my memory isn't what it used to be.

Sorry for all the posts, but I keep getting more info. I was confused when I looked for Pena on the sell list that it showed I put Jon Nunnaly up for sale for a price of zero dollars (I didn't remember getting Nunnaly). So I checked the transaction history and the final Diamond Pack I opened has Jon Nunnaly in it, but more importantly, did not have a diamond player in the diamond pack. It looks like I lost Alejandro Pena a 99 and got Jon Nunnaly, a 79. Hopefully some player of Pena's value can be given instead?
