Just bought OOTP 2025 and have a few questions

So, I'm not going to get too crazy with this game. Going to pick my Seattle Mariners, pick commissioner mode so I can get Vlad Jr and a couple good bullpen arms and away I go!

I don't plan on getting to the nitty gritty with OOTP, but im here to ask the community what options should I really look at if I'm just going to casually GM my Mariners?

I've watched a couple youtube videos but they seem to be geared toward folks who want to micro manage every little thing.

Thanks for any tip or tricks and possibly any youtube videos for the more casual player

It’s a great and fun game.
If ya need anything the community always is helpful.

I can only speak for myself (obviously lol) but I’m more than happy to be of service.

One thing I’ll say right now. The bullpen is very important IMO. Go get as many arms you trust as possible.
Then maybe spend a little time setting it up soundly. I can more in-depth if you like.
Just give me a holler if you need anything my friend.

Oh, I guess I should say I’ve been around OOTP since maybe OOTP 3 or 4 so I’m fairly experienced too lol.

I would suggest hiring a good Assistant GM and then assigning him the duties you don't want to control.

Once you've hired one, go to your Managers Office and on the Options Tab, assign various duties to your Assistant. There are several options for Team Control Settings. Decide which things you want to look after and delegate the rest.
