Historical Database
Right now guys that missed the season in real life in which you start your league will either show up as free agents, or appear in you league the year they made their real life return to MLB. Johnny Evers is a good example. If I create a historical league starting in 1921, Johnny Evers will be listed among the free agents. If I do so without complete history, Evers will be absent but will return in 1922.
What I'm wondering is, would it be possible for OOTP to add an option that if activated, tells OOTP that all players like Evers(players that missed the creation season only to return later) are to enter the league with zero stats.
Over my years of playing OOTP, I've come to realize I love using historical players, but I'm not always interested in following actual history. I like to create fictional teams. Expand at different times. I like to erase all history and start with my own. This isn't easy to do right now, as players that miss seasons, will return with all their stats. So if I create a league in 1921 and erase all stats, Johnny Evers will return for the 1922 season with all his career stats from 1902-1917. If I started in 1923, Evers would return in 1929 with all his stats from 1902-1922,
One of the big reasons I fell in love with random debut is, it allows me to create fictional leagues using real players. As you know, random debut leagues begin with zero stats/zero history.
