2020 seasons

For those of you playing a career, beware of the 2020 COVID season. The game has really screwed the game up with this season. I found that any player not eligible for the rule 5 draft in your organization becomes eligible to be signed as a free agent. I did not realize this and lost three top players who were signed by computer teams. I had to go into commissioner mode to get them back ( I feel like I cheated, but I refused to lose Vladdy Jr. because of this glitch). OOTP needs to correct this issue for OOTP26 as it is totally unfair to those of you playing a career.

Can you clarify on exactly what type of game you were playing, what settings you used, and then what happened?

I started a regular career game in 1979 season and played with almost all settings at default. I played that way for 41 seasons then I got to 2020, no minor league teams just players on active roster, reserve roster and others.
When I started playing the 2020 season, I immediately noted Vlad Jr. on the Yankees and it was WTF!. He was not even rule five eligible. So I said f... this and went into commissioner mode to get him back on my roster. I did that with two other players, one was a 35/80 reliever that I had been grooming. I did not notice him missing until the end of the season. When I check the history, nowhere does it show the player becoming a free agent or traded or picked up on waivers, just suddenly signing a contract with another team.

Also, now that I am in 2021, where have the waivers gone?

How do you have waivers and rule5 when you are only using reserve rosters?

Not sure what You mean, I am past 2021 now and there is no reserve roster, we are back to normal except for waivers.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood. Just read your post again and not sure how I came up with the idea you were using reserve rosters. Ugh!
