Day of Week & Attendance

Completely random discussion about schedules in one of my leagues prompted a question.

Does the day of the week affect, in any way, attendance, and by extension gate (or anything else, like fan interest/loyalty, merchandising)?

In other words, if you play only Mon-Weds (not really but for argument sake) and skip weekends, will it impact you at all?

You have higher attendance on Saturdays and Sundays.
