Unsustainable ratio - funny
Just had this gem in my live play-by-play
The batter is Nolan Arenado... of his 35 hits this season... 21 have gone for extra bases... He is 5th in home runs with 13... Pivetta goes into his windup... rocks and fires... fastball -- strike one. So ya his batting average isn't great as it's current at .230 but his slugging is .539 and OPS is .843 which I'll take for an aging 3B for sure. Just wondering if he can keep up a ratio that 60% of all his hits are extra bases. He's averaged 154 hits a year over the last 3 years so I wouldn't be opposed to seeing 92 go for extra bags. It make take a while but I wonder how this will hold up. Anyone else have any interesting stats lately?

Well, it's a small sample size, and not at all out of line for that guy. And no, he won't keep up that pace for an entire season. But he should be an exciting "all or nothing" guy with superb defense.
