World War II Hiatus
Hi guys. I wanted to suspend my league for the duration of WW2 and, overall it worked all right. I set the number of games to 0, turned off trades, activated Reserve Clause era settings and, as I said, it worked fine - except for the fact that the record books named a Champion for each season [the same team every year], which shows up in team records as that club having six more titles than they should. I'm going to have to live with it, as I don't want to start the whole dynasty over again, but I wondered if I missed a step that would stop this happening?

I don't think there is anything you can do. I disabled the playoffs in all of my minors and feeders and the game still crowns the team with the most wins as the champion every season. I'm guessing your champion is the first team in alphabetical order since you didn't have any win/loss records.

Thanksfor your reply, Herb, which is reassuring in a way. Although the team named Champion each year is second alphabetically.......

I converted the playoffs of a two-league system I'm running into a Round Robin involving all of the teams, and what the game does is recognize the overall winner is the champion of sub-league 1 or 2, while it randomly picks one of the three entrants from the other sub-league as that league's champion. |

Thanks, guys. I figured there was nothing I could do about it. It's not a game breaker, but I'll just have to remember which team is credited with 6 more Championships than they earned!
