EPIC – Fast Sim Baseball – One Season Every Two Weeks

The European Peninsula of Iberia Championship Baseball (EPIC) is a 24-team fast sim promotion/relegation online league. EPIC takes inspiration from the rich history of fast sim leagues (RANZBA, BAMN, WHEBO, FOBL etc.) using many of the elements that made these leagues successful.

The accelerated schedule of EPIC sees one season play out every two weeks, making this the perfect experience for those looking to become immersed in the leagues history. In EPIC, you don’t have to wait for months to see how those young hotshot prospects will develop. The blistering pace means that another season is always just around the corner, and GMs can focus on the long term planning of their organization.

EPIC also incorporates dynamic divisions which see the top teams each season being promoted while the bottom teams fight to avoid relegation. The promotion/relegation aspect gives every team something to play for, even if they aren’t fighting for the pennant come seasons end.

In addition to a traditional yearly playoffs format, every fourth season, teams battles to qualify for and win the prestigious Royal Crown Cup. EPIC uses a unique franchise rankings system to measure a teams legacy throughout it’s history. This ranking system is also used to determine the Royal Crown Cup qualifying teams.

EPIC has a tight knit, Discord based community which provides an excellent immersion factor. This community has put a massive effort into creating the EPIC universe including creating custom logos for all major and minor league teams. Over half the league maintains a team news channel in which detailed team news is published. However, the real prize of EPIC media is the newsroom which regularly reports on the universe. The EPIC community has also engaged in video creation and I highly encourage you to check out the league announcement video to get an appreciation of the level of immersion EPIC is able to achieve.
