First Year Player Draft

Never works, no draft order, never can draft players.

This implementation is the worst I've seen.

What kind of game are you playing and how did you set up or change the draft defaults?

I started a historical league with the intention of importing real players, but i cannot find a file for that, so i started a new league and tried to import fake players, that didnt work either

In a historical game the draft class is comprised of the rookies that made the league the next year. But the game was released in March and has no idea who the 2024 debut plays would turn out to be. So, if you want a draft class past the release date for a historical game, you need to turn on fictional players so a draft class can be generated.

You need to go to Game Settings> League Settings > Rules and from that screen (middle right side) ensure the amateur draft is turned on AND (since you have reached the end of past draft classes) click OFF the toggle that says, "Disable automatic creation of free agents and fictional draft class". Now you can proceed into the future out of the historical game.

In the screenshot you can see the default setting (checked) - uncheck that toggle on the fictional classes.

I tested it and there turned out to be one more thing to toggle. On the League Settings>Historical tab, top right, disable the "Automatically Import Historical Rookies". ... because there are no more, so the game needs to stop looking for them. So, with those two changes, I got a fictional draft class after the Historical 2023 season ends.
