19th Century Historical play much improved
For someone who prefers to start historical replays in the 1800s, i will have to say that
this may be my favorite version as far as 19th century play. Its come along way. With help from AESP_Pres i was able to have the game make historical transactions and use the real starting pitcher. At least for the National League. AA didn't work but i think thats a problem the team ids or database. Just guessing. Point is that the NL shows that it can work. Other things that have made it more enjoyable is Nopeppers uniforms and the 19th century ballparks from Asrivkin and dfswans along with Silvam1's. I do have to borrow other ballparks for years not available yet. Still its so much more engaging to play in Jefferson Street Grounds, Union Grounds, or Union Park than a modern park or the standard ootp park. I think it could get better and be more automated if the game just used the actual yearly teams and expansion. I understand the fictional setup but maybe have one way as an option? It can work with the exact teams if you use the real transactions and teams and as played schedules. As far as playoffs with 1 league just use the first and second place teams or the user can move teams to the 2nd league. Anyway its still much improved. I'm having a blast. Especially watching games in those 19th century ballparks on my new ultrawide monitor. For all the work modders have done it is greatly appreciated and does make the game so much better.
