Scouting Discoveries and Draft Pool.

So I did a new game when the early launch was available.

At the end of the season, the top prospect list was filled with all of these stud "scouting discoveries", not even of the IFA ilk. I fiddled around w/ the settings and saw that the setting for "scouting discoveries" was already set to "high" 64 per year(hadn't touched it during my first season sim). So I went oh okay. Easy fix. I went through each teams int'l complex and DSL teams and deleted most of the signings(not all) and then changed the setting to "few"(8 per year).

Then flash forward to next season. And even after the setting was changed, there were still a couple "studs" being found, and I mean, I switched to commish mode to see "just how good" these kids were, and they were incredibly juiced up. And sorry to be a nitpicker, but I can't see that being too realistic. I could understand maybe 1 of the "scouting discoveries" being all star potential per year(league wide. not 1 all star per team). Realistically, the scouting discoveries should just be depth types to keep the flow going for DSL competitiveness.

The other issue(or nitpick) I have, and this seemed to happen in last year's game too. The draft has a few seasons of the actual names of the high school/college kids. Meaning, your first draft is going to feature Travis Bazzana and Hagen Smith and Konor Griffin(etc...) and it features these real prospects for the first few years(I assume 3 or 4) and all of these kids....suck. Like, they are barely ML average in potential and won't reach that. It isn't until after these "real" prospects fade away 3 or 4 years into your sim where the draft sort of normalizes, and there's heavy juice at the top of the draft, "50 FV" types in the back of the 1st, and sleeper potential in the back end of it.

Just my 2 cents. Loving the player development stuff so far though. Not too hard, not too easy on that front.

The too good scouting discoveries are already fixed in the release version.

We'll update things so the game is a little less aggressive about adding young IAFA guys to the top prospect lists, just like in real life.

The real draft pools, the issue here was just that we'd initially created them before adjusting the MLB ratings level way back in beta. Then so much happened and there was so much to do, we forgot to update them after we shifted the MLB talent levels up a bit. So they were pretty bad classes.

We've fixed this up by adjusting ratings adding more higher talent guys to those classes. They will show up in the first patch, likely coming over the weekend.

We will also continue working on them as well over the next months, along with the rest of the roster set.
