Split position ratings?

What does it mean when a player has two ratings for a position. For example, Edourard Julien has ratings of 63/82 at 1B, 32/43 at 3B, 40/53 at LF and 17/44 at RF.

The first number is their level of proficiency at that position, and their second number is their potential that they can be trained to reach.

For tournaments, these will all be set to fully trained - for your league team, if you play him at 1B (for example), over time his fielding will slowly increase to the 82.
