assistant GM dropped starter
Using these settings my assistant released a player from the 25 man roster. Seems to be a bug.

While simming, did you enable "Do Not Disturb" in the Manager's Office (to the left of your screenshot? That would assign all functions you retained to the Asst. GM.
Also, removal from the 25-man active roster isn't the same as a release from the organization, so not sure if that's what you meant.

I meant he is now a FA. And am 99% sure he was on the untouchables list, but not certain. |

Is it possible the player was able to refuse an assignment to the minors and choose free agency instead?
Unfortunately, this is probably a tough situation to troubleshoot unless you have a save from before they were released and/or can easily recreate the scenario. |

As this graphic reveals, after re-adding Grover Cleveland Alexander via commissioner mode, he then seems to have undergone demotion prior to being released. So then this seems to indicate he was promoted, then demoted, then released rather than released because he could not be demoted.

It looks like he is somehow being demoted multiple times a day?
Normally, I would say you should definitely make a bug report at this point...although with OOTP 25 coming out soon I don't think this would get looked at in 24. |

This graphic reveals the relative performance of Alexander to the rest of bullpen. All stats were developed this season for the team, the exception is Raab whose stats are produced on another team.
What this doesn't show is that Alexander went at least half the season before allowing an ERA. The other graphic shows where Alexander seems to rank in the organization's future. So again, just a bad assistant GM? Just one of those fun things that keeps the game on your toes? No complaints, just for sake of discussion. |

What are his Ratings and what are your Player Evaluation Weights?
Those are going to play the biggest factor into how the Assistant GM sees him compared to 23 innings of results. |

Well, he's kinda trashy so no loss.
there's a history of this waffling with the AI.. that player was just mathematically on the fence. Small changes were causing the AI to view them differently week to week. (last i looked player ratings updated incrementally by the week even though we cannot see it occurring without comissioner mode editor or 100% accuracy ratings turned on. the ai might potentially get more up-to-date info, but i am not sure about that. |
