3D player movement issues go here!

If the 3D movements cause major issues (ie. no 3D was generated, game crashes, game hangs, etc...), please post those in separate threads.

However, If the issue is simply a cosmetic issue, let's keep those to a single thread here. What I need from you guys is a clear description of the issue. To further help in debugging, when you replay the motion, a set of seemingly random numbers will be copied to your clipboard. You should simply be able to paste them here as well - they greatly help in tracking down problems!

I didn't capture codes so i don't know if this is useful (if not I will try to replay), but playing against the Rays in Tropicana had lots of bugs of the 3D camera being trapped when balls were hit to the wall, and a fielder went into the LF corner stands to complete a fly out.

Build 37. Pickoff attempt at first, 1B fails to catch ball. Baserunner appears at second, moonwalks the wrong way, slides into first base and teleports to second base after the motion completes.

Appears similar to Reply #8 but this was at a default major league stadium.

Before I do any testing, could I get some clarification on whether issues should be reported when using 3D ballpark mods? I use silvam14's historical 3D ballparks, and there have always been some issues with the animations in a number of those ballparks, even though the modder has checked the settings and confirmed that they seem to be anomalies caused by the sim itself.

I suspect that this hasn't changed in OOTP 24, but before I start testing for animation issues, I just want to make sure this thread is for issues with mods and not just ballparks that come with the game.

Thanks! That was it. I don't think I changed this or if I did it was by mistake. It was at 110. Setting it to 100 resolved that issue.

I'm having an issue that hadn't manifested in previous versions. Many times when i hit enter to start the next play, there is a noticeable pause. When the action starts, oftentimes the pitch has already been thrown and the first action I see is the ball moving into the field of play. Don't know if '24 is using up more memory and I need to close all other applications or something, but this was never the case in previous versions. I have tried to make various adjustments in the options such as eliminating all delays to no avail.

Ok, so this seems to be resolved now. Whether it was corrected in today's new release, or it was caused by Windows downloading another update for the 10,000 time in the background, I don't know. But, I haven't seen this issue in the last few games I've played.

I have not seen any throw from an outfielder to a cutoff man or to home plate reach the target without at least one hop, and sometimes with two. The depth of the outfielder and position on the field doesn't seem to make any difference. Fielders can't even hit a cut off man at the pitcher's mound on a direct throw from relatively shallow center field, and they can't hit the catcher on a direct throw from about the middle of left field. I think I saw one successful outfield assist on a throw to third, but otherwise these are all cases where the runner scored or runners advanced. In this play there are runners on 2nd and 3rd. The batter hits a ball in the infield that ends up being an infield single. The 3d video show the runner from third coming home and scoring and the runner from 2nd moving to 3rd. But when you press enter and play continues the bases are loaded with the runners back on 2nd and 3rd where they started.

I use silvam14's historical 3D ballparks, and there have always been some issues with the animations in a number of those ballparks, even though the modder has checked the settings and confirmed that they seem to be anomalies caused by the sim itself. I suspect that this hasn't changed in OOTP 24, but before I start testing for animation issues, I just want to make sure this thread is for issues with mods and not just ballparks that come with the game.

Many times when i hit enter to start the next play, there is a noticeable pause. When the action starts, oftentimes the pitch has already been thrown and the first action I see is the ball moving into the field of play. Don't know if '24 is using up more memory and I need to close all other applications or something, but this was never the case in previous versions. I have tried to make various adjustments in the options such as eliminating all delays to no avail. Ok, so this seems to be resolved now. Whether it was corrected in today's new release, or it was caused by Windows downloading another update for the 10,000 time in the background, I don't know. The depth of the outfielder and position on the field doesn't seem to make any difference. Fielders can't even hit a cut off man at the pitcher's mound on a direct throw from relatively shallow center field, and they can't hit the catcher on a direct throw from about the middle of left field. I think I saw one successful outfield assist on a throw to third, but otherwise these are all cases where the runner scored or runners advanced. The 3d video show the runner from third coming home and scoring and the runner from 2nd moving to 3rd.
