Suggestion for new staff roles
Don't know if this has been mentioned in any of the previous suggestions posts but I'd love to see the addition of 3 new staff roles to aide in minor league development.
Hitting Director Pitching Director These can function similarly to the other staff positions where a Pitching Coach or Hitting Coach can be assigned to their respective Director roles to influence the overall hitting and pitching development in the associated minor league teams. Fielding Director The Fielding Director would follow a similar model but would look more like how a Bench/1B/3B coach can teach certain fielding positions better than others. You'd want a coach that is solid at all positions ideally, unless you want to focus on churning out great Catchers, or great Outfielders, and so on. Mechanically, it could even incorporate the user (GM) selecting certain position groups as the focus or selecting a more "all-around" style. All three of these roles can utilize Handles Development, Influences Mechanics, and then their respective positional skills to influence the development process. There could also be room to add Pitching Strategy and Hitting Strategy to the Manager Options screen, to replace Player Strategy, or be listed alongside it. So that these Directors can be assigned control over that area. Additionally, it could be taken a step further if we wanted the AGM to have more impact on the minors, other than just being a sounding board on trade offers, but that role should an option for for Minor League Free Agents Signings & Releases, not just the Minor League Managers. In the Global Settings there is a drop-down option to Include Base Coaches and a similar drop-down could be added to Include Minor League Directors, or something to that extent. Cheers |

Agree with the ones you mentioned. I'd love to see the whole front office staff side of things grow. I want to hire a medical staff, sports science team, R&D team, and analytics team. To take it even further, bringing in marketing, etc. would allow the game to advance into more business side of things as well.

I was thinking along the same lines, but in a slightly different way. I would like to have the ability to have coaches at only the major league level. I don't want to control every aspect of the minor leagues.
The second improvement I would like to see is a "Director of Player Development" who could be directed to implement management decisions for improving particular players, could make suggestions for improving minor league players (including the ability to suggest they learn new positions or even to release them.) |

I'd like to see an International Complex Director, or at least a couple of coaches in that facility.

These exist in most organizations as Roving Hitting Instructors and Roving Ffirld Instructors. Most organizations don’t have roving pitching instructors as the pitching coach has instructions on how to develop certain pitchers.

I agree with all above. In another thread, someone mentioned that we should be able to hire away coaches at the end of the season, when we can offer contracts to staff. I really need a legendary pitching coach, but the personnel free agents have none, and not even a good second choice. No team does not re-sign them.
