Can I do This? If yes how easy is it?
History: As a teenager in Mississippi I listened to the St.Louis Blues expansion team on KMOX and thanks to Dan Kelly announcing I began following them in the early years. Years later I moved back to Birmingham and the WHA and Bulls came into my life.
I have 2 scenarios I would like to use if possible in FHM (and easy to set up) 1. Can I start up with the Blues and do the expansion draft for them? If so how? 2. Can I begin with the WHA and NHL in 1972/73 and play as the Toronto Toros (initally Ottowa) and then move to Birmingham? If so when the NHL expands can I have Birmingham be one of the NHL expansion teams replacing one of the other WHA teams? If yes How would I do it? I hope these are both possible. If so I guess I MUST buy the game. I appreciate any help you can give this computer illiterate old Fart. Thanks again

For 2, I want to say, not possible without a lot of tinkering but I'll let someone with more knowledge tackle that one down as I am not 100% sure on all the changes this new version of the game brought. It may be possible to do something with the ability to create a customer game and import the teams you want, but I'm pretty sure if you do that things like Free Agents and Rookies for Drafts are going to be fictional players. |

Yes to both. For 1, start in 1967 with the Blues and you'll get the option to re-do the expansion draft. For 2, it's not 100% as you described, but you can come pretty close: start in 72 and play through the WHA years as Ottawa/Toronto/Birmingham, and then on July 1 1979 turn historical editing on and change one of HAR/QUE/WPG/EDM to Birmingham. The players you get will still be the ones that would've normally gone to the replaced team, so you'd either have to go with those or manually edit some players to get the Birmingham guys back. (There's some special code that year that moves some of the non-merger clubs' players to the other 4 teams, so they'll be spread out.)
