schedule question

I think I already know the answer to this but here goes in case it is possible.
I started a season in 1914 and the schedule has night games in it. Is it possible to change all the game times to day games, or is it too late and it can't be done. Thanks.

The only way I'm aware of is editing the schedule in game, so you'd have to do it 1 game at a time. Might be time consuming.

Maybe there's another way, but none that I know of.

This has been one of my complaints for some time. I don’t think they have done anything to improve schedule editing since I started playing OOTP 13.

One thing they did add this year is the option to choose prefer day or night or force day or night when creating a schedule. This was a nice add. But, won't help OP as you can't do it after season starts.

Thanks everybody. That is what I figured. I don't understand why if you start a game in a year before night baseball the schedule is not set as all day games. It doesn't seem to be a hard thing to do.

If you know which schedule file is being used by the league, you can edit the source schedule file in a text editor and save the changes. At the start of the next preseason period, you can import the revised schedule file.

Won't help you with the current season, but should fix subsequent seasons.

ETA: Note that start times in 1914 would be between 3 pm to 4 pm on weekdays, and an hour or so earlier on weekends.

Are you playing with the Federal League teams? I just had to ask. I have had great fun with a 1914 sim in which Babe Ruth signs with the Baltimore Terrapins.

Yes as a matter of fact I am. And I also am running the Baltimore Terrapins. The first year draft is about to start. I don't have the Babe as of yet.

I mean, he was literally playing across the street from Terrapin Park for the Orioles. The Red Sox did not own his contract yet. He was young and raw both at bat and on the mound. But he was already the Babe by 1914.

I recently read a Babe bio in which it is clear that he was aware of the Federal League option, and the interest of teams, including the Terrapins. So, adding him would not be much of a stretch, and definitely not “cheesing” the game. The hard part is whether he should pitch, or hit, or both.

Not to bring all this up again but I just found if you go to league settings then options on the right side of the page is the schedule settings. About the 5th one down is game times. 5 settings are there in the drop down. Default, all days, mostly days, all night, and mostly night. Never knew about this setting. It's not in 23. Of course you must do this in the pre season to set it. If only I knew.

I see Davis Watts mentioned something and I think this is what he was talking about.
