Playoff winner not assigned.
So in my online league I run, GEBA, for the 1931 season, somehow the playoffs are "done", but not done... We are currently in 1932 but I was looking back at history and discovered this:
![]() Which results in: ![]() Is there any way to rectify this? I hate my league history being messed up like this... |

Does the winner show in the team history? Or if you go to the league history champions pages, do they show on there? And did all of the end of season processing happen correctly (ie. did players get their champion rings, and all of that)?
If there was anything else special that seemed to happen at the end of last season, let us know. Otherwise we may need to see the league files to understand what might have happened. |

Team History doesn't show Rockford as Champions, nor does League History (1931 is just completely blank). Players also don't show as champions for that season.
I did have this situation where I had to manually start the offseason by editing league events every year, because I had a winter league that I started in November, however its preseason would start during the major league playoffs, and as such due to a bug that has existed in OOTP for multiple versions now, the offseason for the major league wouldn't start. I do not recall for 1931 (this happened 2 seasons ago, and it is now 1933) if I did anything unique/different from normal. My unverifiable suspicion is I set the offseason to start the day the world series ended and forgot to advance the day before doing so accidentally. In 1932 I had the same situation as always with the conflict between my winter league and the playoffs, but I made sure to advance the day (thinking that may have been the issue) and verify the playoff bracket was complete and denoted the champion before I edited league events and started the offseason. I can email you the league file if that would be beneficial, and especially if there is some way to edit it via database tools you guys have to properly modify tables to reflect the champions properly. I'd do it myself with SQL Developer if I could

Unfortunately if the game has already progressed on to the off-season and onto the next season, it's not a simple fix to retroactively assign the winner. Especially from a few seasons back.
For the issue of not progressing to the off-season, if the winter league is actually set up as a winter league (tournament), that shouldn't prevent the league from continuing. If it was a regular affiliated minor league, then we do wait for them to complete before the league rolls over, as before that we ran into issues where teams would be handling their off-season transactions while the minors were still attempting to play games out. |

Yea I posted this back in mid August...Right now i'm just living with a game file that isn't perfect which bothers me greatly.
The winter league is a regular affiliated minor league that is intended to start after the playoffs and be an offseason way for prospects to get some additional time. I've changed it so isntead of 70 games it is 50 so that its preseason starts after the WS is over to eliminate the issue going forward. |
