ORB (historical) looking for active owners

Other Reality Baseball is again putting out the call for those active OOTP players who like 1980's baseball. We are a historical league currently in the 1985 season.

At this time I'm looking to fill a couple franchises. Check out our site, pop in the Forums, see the "Waiting List" subforum....

After you get a board ID created, please stop in here and tell us a little about yourself.

Do you have OOTP5?
How often are you on AIM?
We ask everyone to write a sim report for their at least once a week. Cool with this?
Willing to troll the boards and participate in polls?
Have you read the Constitution (not that one, the ORB's )?
What interests you about the ORB?
Do you have any weird OOTP quirks that we should know about - like you don't believe in making trades?

There is usually a need for Assistant GM's if a team is not currently open. So feel free to join the board chatter, join the live chats and write any league articles from your current non-biased position.

Great league, committed Commish. Either that or he should be committed. Baltimore have had a succession of chump owners - this is a great opportunity for someone to reverse that trend.

I'm beginning to THINK I should be committed.

Do you have OOTP5? yes i do, do you?

How often are you on AIM? are you stalking me? actually not alot but i will always oblige a GM that wants to do trade talks over AIM

We ask everyone to write a sim report for their at least once a week. Cool with this? Cool wit dat

Willing to troll the boards and participate in polls? coll wit dat too homey

Have you read the Constitution (not that one, the ORB's )? yes, but I had cover tunes, the original was better

What interests you about the ORB? I have done historical leagues, but never got up to the 80's, plus the 80's (probably like yourself, I am 28) is when I became A Baseball fanatic...Carlton, Schmidt, Rose...nuff said

Do you have any weird OOTP quirks that we should know about - like you don't believe in making trades? I believe in Lepracauns and that true love lasts as long as it takes to find cab fare to get her home...OH...ootp quirks....my trading philopshy is mostly minor leaguer for minor leaguer based on need. (ie, owner A has a plethora of SS prospects I have a plethora of C prospects, so a trade is a given)

heh... yeah...sorry about that future Tigers owner, whoever you may end up being. When I first joined ORB I ran the Tigers, and I decided to tear apart the team so that when I jumped ship to take over the Blue Jays, Detroit would be in shambles and I could easily defeat them.... lol

ok, just kidding, actually, I felt the Tigers were bloated with payroll, and had planned a nice little rebuilding project around younger guys like Kirk Gibson, Mike Warren, and a couple of others... Whitaker and Trammell were both underperforming so I sent them to the Pads in a deal that was essential for the Tigers future financial success as I was able to unload the extremely overpaid Dave Tobik in the same deal...

fortunately for the Padres, Trammell and Whitaker's change of scenery lit their bats on fire, and they helped the Pads to a championship... unfortunately for the Tigers, the Blue Jays (my favorite 80's team) became available, so I had to leave them to rot in the hands of several owners uncapable of seeing my grand master Tiger plan through...

Baltimore and Detroit are now filled. However, I still need one more owner. Houston has now become available.

Astrodome, and WEIRD jerseys....what's not to like?
