1900 historical replay color barrier off
Using basic settings with the color barrier off, auto expand league, no coaching or personality ratings or manager goals. Using original 1900 teams but then letting the draft decide who go where after that. ie. Babe Ruth was drafted by the last place BSN club.
I am mainly interested how some of the black players may have done if given the chance. So far after 18 years 42 black players out of the total 64 black players who I have tracked played at least one game of one season in the majors. Here is a list of players who had played at least 100 games in a season: Oscar Charleston, Blainey Hall, Dick Lundy, Pete Hill, Jules Thomas, Bill Pettus, Ben Taylor, Doc Wiley, Louis Santop, Manuel Cueto, George Shivley and Cristobal Torriente.
I have found some interesting things in regards to other leagues. There was the Federal League in 1914&15 and the Texas League in 1918 but .. there's also some AA leagues including black teams; CXG, CUG, PhGi, CLG and some Cuban teams; ALMA, FE, HAB etc.
Some examples of players going from minors to majors are: Smokey Joe Williams was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1911 then sent down to BaTe(FL) for two seasons then was picked up by the Washington Senators MLB club in 1915. Funny thing about him though he is used a batter more than a pitcher?
Ashes Jackson was drafted by Brooklyn in 1909 then sent to KCG(AAA) in 1910, then picked up by Brooklyn only to be traded to the White Sox.
There is no example of a player being promoted from a minor league club to a major league club.
For that to happen in the future do I need to affiliate the minor league club to a major? If so how do I get that affiliation to stick year to year.
Note: now that I am in 1920 there are three minor leagues; NeL, PCL and TL.
