No, not through a toggle, there is not. The toggle you are thinking of is a historical option only. You’d have to manually do such a thing with the announcement of each draft class or modify the percentages of some other csv file or settings under Game Settings where country or other origin settings reside. I’ve never messed with it. But, again, the toggle is just in historical games.

There are old threads on this that didn’t end well.

I presumed he wanted to have an alternate world akin to historical MLB but accidentally chose Fictional at the start screen when he meant to choose Historical (which can be modded aplenty to be practically fictional if league evolution is off). And now he’s invested in a Fictional save pre-integration and trying to mimic MLB’s history (even its extremely shameful history). It is most definitely a wack post but benefit of the doubt seemed in order as I could envision a plausible reason for the ask.

It seems like he is just asking if the color barrier settings that are in historical leagues are available in fictional leagues as well.

Everyone please just stop being triggered over this dead horse. I am old and my dad whose been gone for 20+ years was a little kid when baseball integrated. Nobody acts like this about other major American sports that integrated even later.

He had a reasonable question, if awkwardly stated, about a fictional league that would have been occurring before MLB integration.

To the original question, the “color barrier” only exists in historical leagues where we have a record of who is “passing” and who is not. However, you are certainly free to evaluate each player and decide for yourself if they look white enough to play the game in your eyes. You’ll just have to do that, as baseball itself did, on a case by case basis.

In fairness to the OP, the game does have the toggle for the “color line” or words to that effect. Which struck me as being explicit and calling it what it was. Particularly for someone with a different cultural background, and/or not speaking English as a first language, it can be rough to navigate between “people of color” [good] and “colored people” [bad]. For those of us with history, we damn well ought to be able to get it right, and sensitivity is really just respect and understanding. I would not apply that standard to somebody with a different background.
