Manager-Only mode: Not notified when active roster changed by AI GM

This is definitely a bug or a missed design feature.

I am playing a game as Manager only (fun!) but there is one big problem... the GM will often change out the Active roster without informing me. For example, my backup infielder may be sent to the Reserve roster and replaced with someone else, and I might not find out about it for 2-3 games when I manually check (which I constantly have to do).

This is in contrast to notifications I get whenever the GM makes a trade or signs a free agent (appreciated) even when those transactions may not even affect the Active roster. For example, the GM might sign a free agent, put him on the Reserve roster and let me know even though the player is not available to me.
