SP to RP then start with higher ratings
Under general discussion there is a thread about this.
You can take a Starter Pitcher and change their role to reliever. Their ratings go up as expected but you can put them in the game as a starter and they will pitch as long before tiring as when their set position was starter but now with higher ratings. |

I am fairly confident that the display of "higher ratings" when setting a SP as a RP does not translate to performance.
The ratings would translate if they were being used in relief. FWIW (and the overall rating is not a great reflection of how good a player is) changing a SP to RP can actually lower their overall rating. |
