Players role
Ever since the latest update
Most off all the computer run coaches are setting players roles to agitator Has anyone else seen this 2 of 3 lines have agitator roles |

I am running a historical replay league
started in 1917 , went through season 1922 Did the latest update and was playing the 1923 season and noticed the following The Canadians had 3 lines, all the players roles were agitator except one who was a dangler, i notice similar settings with other computer run reams Just wondering if this would effect their stats, say if goal scorer role was a agitator, would that effect is overall goals or stats thanks |

I just tried a 1917 start, and in 1923-24 I'm seeing a normal selection of roles for all the AI teams (and almost no agitators.) Could you upload your save? I'd like to have a look at what's going on there. It definitely would affect the stats if they're all like that.

still dont get it
upgraded to FHM9 Hotfix 9.4.107 from 104, thought maybe the latest update will help still get the agitator when i add a gm and set the player roles very frustrating, did not have this before i updated to 9.4 104 I even started a new game with the same results Last edited by ffp7175; 05-19-2023 at 11:54 PM. |

I uninstall the game and reinstalled and still have the same
issue When their is a human gm and coach and i hit the al to set the player roles, still get numerous agitator roles |

Something's definitely going wrong with the save; I'm waiting to hear back what the guys found when they took a closer look at it. It's not a general problem with the update; other games I check, including historical ones, are choosing roles normally. I suspect it may have something to do with using the AI in a multiplayer game set up the way this one is, but I don't know for sure yet.

i hope they find an answer
i have another league setup the same way and it has no issue (that league does not have the last update), its run on a different computer I updated this league to current update (i love the option to choose goalies to start) |

Finally found the problem: there's an adjustment to the coach's choice of tactical roles based on the coach's physical and offensive preferences (among other things.) You have all of your coaches set to "Very Defensive" and "Very Physical". which would normally be a pretty rare combination, since both are at the extreme ends of the scale (intended for only one or two coaches per league.) That's pushing most of the forwards into a tactical role in the category that only includes agitators and the enforcer-type roles. If you edit the preferences of all the GM/HC you added back to the a more moderate setting, you'll see a more normal selection of tactical roles.
