Optimizing Game for New Computer

Hey guys.

I just recently got a new computer and I was told from the guys at MicroCenter that this game is causing a memory issue which freezes the computer before it randomly restarts. They advised me to change the settings in the game to optimize how it uses the memory. Does anyone have any idea what they mean? Not sure if this is the best place to post this so sorry ahead of time if this needs to be moved.

Processor - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K, 3400 Mhz, 16 Core(s), 24 Logical Processor(s)

32gb of physical ram

With the hardware you list (impressive!), I would say it is impossible that OOTP would “cause a memory issue”. You will doubtless hear from folks who are playing on comparatively ancient machines with a fraction of the RAM, without issue. If your new computer is freezing, the issue is somewhere else. It ought to be able to run applications like OOTP with ease. Custom settings should not be necessary.

I would return the computer and get your money back, And then, if there happens to be an Apple Store nearby……Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Out of curiosity, what error were you getting? I got a new PC too and was getting some blue screen of death errors during 3d gameplay, wasn't sure if it was due to the new PC or OOTP24

I wasn't actually getting an error message. When i had multiple Chrome windows open and was running the game at the same time, the mouse would freeze and the system would restart. Guy told me that everything came out clean when they stress tested the system but once they started to run the game they said it was causing some kind of strain on the system.
