Patch update + reinstall + access issue

Hi,

I downloaded the patch and installed the new version of OOTP 24. When I open it back up it says I need to enter my license key.

When I initially purchased I went through Epic Games and don't recall needing a license key, and I can't find one anywhere in my email.

Can someone please help me troubleshoot this so I can regain access to the game?

When you say "downloaded the patch" was that through Epic (which should update within the Epic ecosystem) or do you mean you downloaded the .exe file from the thread in the General Discussions sticky? The version on the sticky is the one from the FastSpring store.

Open Epic and look for an update notice (and check your version number on the main page, bottom) would be my advice as you may have installed the FastSpring one unnecessarily.

I downloaded from the .exe the game prompted me to in the forum thread.

I haven't seen any messages nor can I find any patch updates in Epic yet. I may have to uninstall everything at this point and reinstall. I tried installing the patch in with all of the other OOTP data I already had installed thinking it would overwrite.

Let's let the development team update you tomorrow on the status of the last patch for Epic Store purchasers. But when I have bought other games from Epic and had updates to said games, it was always from within the Epic Store/Library. Same as Steam does.
