Sub-3 ERA Seasons

Has anyone else noticed only maybe 1-2 starters having sub-3 ERA seasons? I understand attributes are based on projections which tend towards the mean, but every year IRL there are around 10-15 starters who have sub-3 ERA seasons. This is disappointing as there are no true elite seasons from this position group.

This has been something I've noticed for a few years now. It's not uncommon for there to be no qualified pitchers with an ERA < 3. League average ERA tends to be much higher too, around 4.7.

For me the league average ERA has remained normal, just with a very narrow talent discrepancy top to bottom. Not sure if it's a PCM issue, stat modifiers, etc.
