Linux and saved games location

I'm running FHM on Linux using Steam. It runs fine, my issue is in setting up an online league. I can create leagues without any issues, but I cannot copy any files into the saved_games folder (which appears to be only accessible in wine). Is there any workaround for this?

Sorry, I don't know much about Wine. I did find this post on reddit describing what sounds like a similar issue:

There are a few possible solutions there, if that's what's happening to you.
