There were many players who dominated the game this past season, including some of the Maelstrom Legends, but none made opponents more fearful than Greg Maddux. Maddux started the season by winning an amazing 16 straight games. In that span, he was unhittable. Maddux is the first pitcher since Denny McLain in 1968 to win 30 games - an amazing 75% of his starts.
While going 30-8 with a 2.05 ERA (in a league where the average ERA was around 5.00), Maddux had 17 complete games and 6 shutouts all while walking just over one batter per start. Four times in six months, Maddux was selected Pitcher of the Month. Maddux domination didn't end with the regular season. In 5 post-season starts, Maddux was 4-0. In his only no-decision, he allowed only a single earned run in nearly 8 innings. The Commissioner's Office congratulates Greg Maddux for his amazing season and wishes him luck for the coming year. Shane - I think that one of the coolest things about the Maelstrom is that you update everyone on here like Tiger Fan was with the Ottawa Otters for a little bit. We all love hearing it!!!

Thanks for giving me a forum (no pun intended) to flex my trivial muscles...

I believe we have a waiting list. I would send an e-mail to sporr (Shane) if I were you.

We do have a waiting list, and it's not even as long as you would think. While other sites may have lengthy waiting lists, we prefer quality over quantity, so we screen all applicants. Contact me and I'll give you the details. In any event, we encourage you to check out the site and have a look around.
