Invisible players and game crashing !

If V23 worked perfectly on my PC, should V24 work perfectly?
I play as GM/MGR of the 23 Cardinals in MLB .

I have 8GB ram and a ton of HD space.
Every position has had invisible players, including baserunners. In one game the other team had 3 invisible outfielders. I have turned off the crowd animations.
Also... the game crashes WAY to often. It states "ootp24 has stopped working".
Will a new patch correct this ? If so, when ?
I don't want to go back to V23.

Sorry that's happening.

This is very likely due to a broken installation of the game on your system.

It could also be due to having an old patch installed before some similar issues were cleaned up.

The first step is to make sure you've installed the latest patch:

The next step is to is to verify the installation.

To do that, go to the start screen, then to 'settings' > 'troubleshooting' > and then hit the button that says 'force game data re-installation'. Or if you're on Steam, right click on OOTP 24 in the Steam client, then go to > properties > local files > verify integrity of game files.

That should fix any corrupted files and give you a fresh install.

If that doesn't work, then the next question would be if you are using a custom data path?

If you are, then it's possible the install is not correctly moving all files over to your custom location.

To fix this, manually copy the entire data folder from the OOTP default installation location to your custom data folder location.

Will any/all of the above actions affect my current season ?
I always use the default installation.

Nope, doing the above won't affect any of your saves. It will just make sure all the default files are correctly installed and not corrupt and fix them if there are any problems.
