Play Offs bug...

... playing historical game, i won the league in 2014/15 season but my team didn't enter the play offs!

Jeff i will send you the save file just before the end of regular season maybe you can get it fixed.

Also its the save where 2014 Olympics clashed with NHL season and no Kaprizov for 2015 draft.

I think that's happening because you've turned league editing on, which has frozen the league structure as it was in 1991, but also have the "Playoff System Will Change..." option turned on, which has updated the playoff rules to the ones used in 2015-16, which need a 2-conference, 4-division structure instead of the 6-dvision setup you have. So it ignores two divisions (Northwest and Pacific) and treats the Southeast as part of the Western Conference. It also seems to lead to a crash on July 1 if I allow it to play ahead. I'll see if there's anything we can do to edit it so it can be continued, but I don't think we'll be able to reset the playoffs at this point, since they've already been created.

Thanks for the quick response, in future so this doesn't happen again what options should I tick/untick or is this like a one of thing?

On July 1, you'll need to switch the playoff system, probably back to the one in use in 2001 or a custom one that works with a 4-division setup.

Looks like we won't be able to fix the playoffs in the current year, but the end-of-year crash I found is due to a bug that will arise in this situation; Malte's fixed it and the fix will be in the final version of the update, so you'll be able to resume the save after that.
