Designating a league as High School/College
Are there any game play impacts to designating a league as High School or College? Other than affecting how the leagues are ordered in the league drop down list, it appears like it is just flavor.
I'm playing with a 9-level Pro-Rel universe where each of the 208 towns in RI & CT has a team. Right now the teams are using reserve rosters, but I was toying with the idea of having two levels of minors: high school & college. There is no draft, so I was imaging the teams identifying & signing 14-year olds and then sending them to their sponsored high-school & college programs in NY or GA or some other exotic place. Once the players reach age 22, they either make the "majors" or get released. I don't need to call a league HS/College to do what I want, I was just wondering if there will be any problems if I do. |

It occurs to me that there could be one potential impact to giving a league one of these designations.I assume that the years played in High School and College leagues aren't considered professional service years for purposes of any minor league limits.

And . . . nope. If a league is affiliated with a major league, it treats players in the affiliated league as professionals regardless of the designation given the league.
