Contract... Arb/Possible FA

What is the criteria ? Games played/ AB's/ Innings pitched ?

Another thing..... when playing game as GM/Mgr I sometimes look at a player's contract. It might say... FA after 2023 season. But when I go to my roster and look him up it says he has 4 years remaining on his contract.

Games on the active roster or MLB DL.
