Top Prospect Question
I have the #1 prospect in the league...a 21 yr old CF rated at 44/76(100%
scouting accuracy). Will he have a better chance to improve as an every player in the minors...or as a bench sitter in the majors? |

Generally, they are going to progress more by playing.
However, it isn't ever a black & white situation. If they have already proven themself in the minors and get "bored" that could cause stagnation. Personality could be a factor as well. |

Agree with Rain King, and we need more information. How has he performed in the minor leagues thus far? What does you scout say? (I would assign the scout to take a new look at this guy and report back.) What is the gap between his current ratings and his potential? For a guy with this much promise, it would be a waste for him to sit the bench. If he’s ready, you’re going to have to create a spot for him in the lineup, even if it’s DH.

Depends on their fielding. fielding almost never improves so if doesnt have the ratings to play outfield which is possible with prospects from international amateur free agents then I would trade him away.
Players also improve the most in the MLB there has been tests done in previous years. IF you can waste bench spot on him give him a try out for 1 year in the mlb. If he doesnt improve trade him for something of quality. There too many players ready for the mlb to waste time on someone. if you can get some thing good in return. why waste 4 more years on a player when you get an mlb all star that could play those 4 years |
