1917 Project?

I was just curious if anyone has every started a career in 1917? If so, how did it go? Did you run into any real problems?

I started one once and really enjoyed it. I did a lot of deep diving into the history of the clubs and players which made it take forever to move forward but I think I'm more interested in hockey history now because of it. I say go for it!

In FHM 8 I started in 1917, managed the Bulldogs/Tigers/Americans until the franchise folds in 1942, let the game advance until 1967 and started managing one of the expansion teams. It was a lot of fun and I definitely recommend it! As hurricanekevin said, it was great to learn about the evolution of the league and the teams.

I'd even start another sim if the game ever evolves all the way back to the NHA years as well.
