For TotalMinors: Find HBP/WP Errors
hey guys,
a few people mentioned this from the default set and I want to get it taken care of...some pitchers have extraordinarily high HBP and WP numbers. If you have the TotalMinorsBeta default set or the TotalMinors v 1.1, if you can go through and let me know any of these you find I will fix them. A few were mentioned in the totalminors thread, but I figured I would start a separate thread for the issue. Thanks! GH |

You can see WP numbers in League Setup-> Display All Players (and set Season 2003 stats).
For all I know the WP are fine in your database. After one whole season, only about 10 pitchers made more than 2 WP in the year, the maximum being 9. There's some HBP issues though. I already send you the list I found.

Has this been dealt with in subsequent updates? I've hit six batters in four games - looking at player ratings, it seems like I've got a lot of guys with HBP ratings = 20. I'd like to fix them - but that would mean fixing everybody in the majors - which would take a fair amount of time. (For that matter, the effect of a "fix" appears to be a-half or whole star, on average).
Also, I'd guess that the WP numbers are a little low - not dramatically so (in terms of volume), but after looking at seven guys so far (yeah - real systematic), I thought that all should have either equivalent or higher WP ratings. Last edited by CareyScurry; 05-08-2003 at 11:35 PM. |

Bump.
(I'm hoping I don't have re-calc the HBP for everybody in the game... for me, the rosters are unplayable right now - which sounds like a personal problem, I suppose.) |

I know Mike Kinkade for the Dodgers has a high HP rating. I am playing each game and whenever he plays he gets hit at least once.

The league leader in HBP for pitchers when I tested the file was 13. Not outlandish.
